Solve The Murder of Ms. Washington!

washington_crystal1April 10, 2009 a woman was gunned down at Maryland Avenue and 14th Street North East, 24 hours later I drove to the area, as a slow rain felled, there were no signs that a blazen early morning rush hour murder had taken place, no police, no protest, no posters. This is the first time this site has posted a current murder, we post crimes that police label as cold cases. I feel this case will be solved, but I had the same feeling years ago in my own case, nine years later, the murders still maintain there criminal actives, without arrest for murder. I placed posters on the large trees on each corner near the murder, in some areas posters remain until they are weather worn and replace, I wonder if these would, I also wonder why some people remove them, but let posters of missing cats or dogs remain up, why, do folk show up at a court with signs and yell at a person for killing a dog(s), but you often can not get the same type of action when a person kills another human.

Murders show up in court looking like Sunday school choir boys, often with more support then the victims family can muster, so often a case grows cold and is left unsolved, time will tell if this becomes one of those cases Two days after the murder, the Washington Post site listed the women as unidentified from a article by Paul Duggan that had not been up dated, Friday evening the news showed a woman identified as the dead woman’s daughter sobbing and saying how good of a person her mother was. I don’t have a lot of information to report on this murder, but will count the days, weeks, months until action in this case occurs, has life gotten so worthless?.

Crystal Washington, is the lady who was gunned down, when we have more information, we will publish it. No one should blog negative about a person’s circumstances, as I have seen related to this murder, it’s more important to focus on getting the person(s) who murdered  Ms. Washington and stop questioning the victims life style.  Too often this is done against the victim, lets stay on top of this murder and treat it with the same effort we would want if someone close to us was gunned down, we need to start demanding more cases are solve and solve quickly, that’s the way to let murders know they can not kill and stroll our streets as if they are Innocent. More to follow.

I have played phone tag with Detectives William Xanten and Milton Norris during the week of April 20 – 24. Detective Xanten did leave me a voice message, with no other information on Ms. Washington’s case. I’m trying to set up an interview for this site to ask some general question about the thinking of detectives, if you are reading this and know how to make such an interview happen soon, let us know, I have made calls, email, and left message during the last week of April, but have no interview line up, so far.  If you have clues on Ms. Washington murder call 2/645-6359 or 6361. As of today, July 14, we have not gotten any new information on this case, and have not been able to set up a interview with detectives, we have called, emailed and our request are in the hands of the MPD, we look forward to hearing from the MPD, but we will continue our work with or without an interview.
